EVENT DETAILS

Morning Session: 9:00AM - 12:30PM

"The Art of Background Investigations and

Social Media Forensics"

Background investigations can be an extremely useful and cost-effective discovery tool. A comprehensive background and asset investigation is more than merely plugging a name into an investigative database and generating a report.  Rather, a background and asset investigation discovers and documents verified information concerning (among other things) an individual’s assets, liabilities and litigation history.  This course provides a step-by-step overview of how to conduct a thorough background and asset investigation.  These forms of research can provide critical evidence or relevant information with respect to a person’s life, habits or business practices. We will also learn how to conduct social media investigations including locating hidden photos and accounts. We will learn how to forensically document your findings. If time permits, we will also touch on open source intelligence.

Lunch Break: 12:30pm - 1:30pm
The hotel restaurant will be offering a buffet lunch in order to best serve all attendees.

Afternoon Session: 1:30pm - 5:00pm
"The Art of Surveillance"

The logistics, techniques, and equipment of surveillance. You will learn what equipment is necessary for surveillance including sample videos of various cameras. We will discuss GPS tracker use in surveillance. Most importantly, you will learn how to conduct one and two man surveillance and see case samples that demonstrate surveillance tactics.

About the speaker:
Oleg Flaksman began his career as a private investigator at the age of 19 in New York City, working one-man surveillance. In 2011 Oleg obtained his Private Investigator license in California and established his own PI firm, O&O Investigations, Inc. O&O Investigations invests thousands of dollars each year into developing in-house surveillance technology, which allows the firm to conduct surveillance that other firms cannot and to tailor the surveillance to the unique specifications of each case. O&O Investigation’s background investigations and social media forensics provide clients with key evidence to win their cases; whether it was a damning photograph, a telling post, or a seemingly unimportant comment.  As the Founder and President of O&O Investigations, Inc., Oleg prides himself on having established one of the most professional private investigative firms in Southern California. One of his core philosophies is that there is no substitute for visual evidence. To this end, O&O Investigations, Inc. works closely with their clients and attorneys to obtain integral evidence that is necessary to win a case. As an expert in the field of surveillance, background investigations and social media forensics, Oleg takes the time to share knowledge and experience with investigators and the general public through his blog and courses he teaches nationwide.
