Who We Are, and Why You Should Join

FALI is the largest private investigator association in the State of Florida. We are a non-profit 501(c)(6) organization with a Board of Directors comprised of dedicated licensed private investigators who volunteer their time to serve the membership. Since 1994, our purpose has remained the same; to protect and advance the Florida investigative profession. Today our profession is faced with multiple threats that require both the vigilance and strength that FALI has established in our state capital.  We meet with state regulators and legislators during the year to advocate, advise and build consensus for and/or against regulations and legislation that would be harmful to our membership. FALI is dedicated to protecting and advancing the professional interests of private investigators.

Professional Recognition
FALI Members are recognized for their commitment to increasing professional standards and ethics in the private investigations profession. As a Member of FALI, you will join a community of peers dedicated to improving the investigations profession and setting the standards for other investigators to follow.

Legislative Influence
FALI is the only investigative association in Florida, which has consistently maintained a legislative presence in Tallahassee.  FALI's registered lobbyists actively express the concerns of private investigators to Florida legislators and influence them to act favorably towards the profession. Our primary goal is to be the driving force to protect the interests of Florida's private investigators.

Professional Networking
As the nation’s second largest PI association, FALI offers an unparalleled opportunity to collaborate with peers and learn from each other's experiences. The FALI Membership Directory and "members only" listserv are invaluable tools for making new contacts and exchanging ideas and opportunities. Many members believe that the powerful networking tools provided by FALI are some of the greatest advantages of FALI membership. Regional Meetings
FALI directors hold regular educational meetings in 7 major metropolitan areas throughout the state. Members who attend regional meetings enjoy the benefit of meeting with other local investigators and participating in educational presentations by leading professionals. FALI meetings are a great way to stay informed, make new friends, and cultivate opportunities for business!

Annual Educational Conference & Exhibition
Every year, FALI hosts the Annual Professional Development Conference. This acclaimed event brings together experienced educational speakers who present exceptional lectures and workshops, and commercial exhibitors who present valuable information and business opportunities for Florida private investigators.

One-Day Workshops
In addition to the annual conference and local educational meetings, one-day training workshops are scheduled during the year to provide investigators throughout the state with continuous opportunities for professional development.
