Why should a client use a FBCI?
In seeking and maintaining the FBCI designation the investigator is making a commitment to be among the best in the profession, and to continue their education.
FBCIs are making a statement to the public, and their clients, that they are committed to maintaining high standards for themselves and the profession.
Prior to obtaining the FBCI designation, an investigator has to demonstrate to a committee of their peers that his/her credentials are deserving of the FBCI certification.
The designation of FBCI is a valuable certification that the public can have faith in, and the investigator can market either to client or employer.
FBCIs have worked hard to achieve experience, and reputations for excellence. They continue with these efforts through the Continued Education Requirements of the program which concentrates on the fields of:
Professional Conduct & Ethics
Investigative Legal Issues
Investigative Techniques
Statutory Compliance
As with any profession, individuals differ in experience, skill set and effectiveness. Clients should do their due diligence before entering into an agreement with an investigator. Limiting possible liability from the actions of an investigator working
on their behalf should be a primary goal.
The FBCI has made a public declaration of their values and commitment to furthering the investigative profession.
