Burt Hodge, Rory McMahon and myself returned from the International Conference of Investigation Associations (ICIA) hosted by TALI in San Antonio earlier this month. This event brought together leaders from approximately 25 state, national, and even a couple of international, private investigator association leaders.
This gathering was designed to facilitate an exchange of ideas, address concerns and build alliances between the groups going forward. The idea behind this is simple, we are stronger together than individually in dealing with issues that affect our profession. This is the same idea that has proven successful since 2009 when FALI, FASCO and FLACARs stood together on issues that affected us all under 493, such as the raiding of our Trust Fund and the closing of DOL Offices etc.
As we go forward I will provide you with more information as it develops. Currently all that has taken place after the meeting was the formation of a message board with a working name of Council Of Association Leaders.
