Speaker: Chief Judge Frederick Lauten – 9th Judicial Court
Topic: Tips to help an investigator in court.
About the Speaker: Judge Frederick Lauten began his career in 1979 as an associate of the Law Office of Bryan C. Hugo in Longwood, Florida. In 1981, he moved to Washington, D.C. to work as an associate of Tierney & Swift, P.A. The following year, he was back in Florida, working out of Orlando as an assistant state attorney for the Ninth Judicial Circuit. He held that position until 1993, when he became judge of the Orange County Court. He joined the circuit court in 1999.
Since joining the circuit court, Lauten has served in the following divisions: Orange County Criminal (1999-2004, 2006), Osceola County Criminal (2005), Orange County Civil (Business Court, 2007-2011).[
