Presented by: Andy Kindred
A Message From Andy:
I became a PI in the early 90s, and was one of the first to be mesmerized by Autotrack. I started learning about computers to get a competitive edge on the industry, but was soon overwhelmed when Internet access became prevalent. While databases such as TLOxp, Accurint and LocatePlus are still relevant, more and more information can be found in free sources on the Internet.
During this seminar we'll cover how to utilize these new sources such as: social media, modern public records, and documents. That being said, the sources are often unreliable and require additional scrutiny and caution. The Internet can be dangerous, but knowing how to manage the risks can create new services we can offer our clients.
Bring a computer and a case file or two. We'll get a little technical, but it'll be worth it. We'll guide you through several examples and demos, have a little fun and hopefully you'll leave with some new working knowledge and skills.
Topics to include:
- Reverse Image Searching
- New Public Record sources
- Tracing emails and IP addresses
- Hidden data in pictures and documents
- Specialized search sites and tools
- Hiding your identity on the Internet
Reception to follow:
5:30pm - 7:30pm
Even if you can’t attend the Seminar,
please join us for the reception.
