Paul Shaw, Jacksonville Sheriff's Office
Topic: Fingerprint Analysis
Paul will take us back in time so we can learn a little of the history of how and why fingerprinting came to be before bringing us back to the present to discuss the different patterns of fingerprints and the many different techniques in lifting fingerprints today. This will be an educationally packed meeting of a very intriguing topic!
About the Speaker
Paul served five years in the Navy as an Intelligence Specialist before working for the Department of Corrections as a Correctional Officer. He moved on to working as a Probation & Parole Officer before becoming a police officer with the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office where he has proudly served for the past 12 years.
In addition to his role as a police officer, Paul is a UNF Adjunct Professor in the Criminology and Criminal Justice department where he has been teaching since 2007. He holds a Master’s Degree in Police Administration.
I encourage all investigators, members and guests, to attend as this will be a highly informative presentation.
