Irene Pons, Esq.

Topic: The conduct of investigations in support of litigation matters, especially criminal and family law.

Irene Pons is originally from San Juan, Puerto Rico.  She has been in the legal field, first as a law clerk, then as a paralegal and, finally, as an attorney for over eight years.  She graduated from the University of Central Florida in 2000 with a Bachelor of Arts in Organizational Communications.  She went on to earn her Juris Doctorate from Nova Southeastern University in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida in 2004.  She is also a full-time professor at the University of Central Florida. 

As the proprietor of a law firm, Ms. Pons has handled a variety of cases, ranging from family law (child support, paternity, and dissolution of marriage), criminal defense, real estate (evictions, foreclosure, short sales) and civil matters (bankruptcy,

small claims, and demand letters).

Ms. Pons is passionate about helping others and has worked hard to get to where she is today.  She grew up on welfare, yet, those difficult moments have shaped her to become the person she is today.

About the meeting: This is a FREE event is open to ALL members (or potential members) of the investigative professions.  The event is sponsored by the Florida Association of Licensed Investigators (FALI) as part of our continuing efforts to provide our membership with quality educational and networking opportunities. FALI meetings held in the Orlando area are made available for those investigators living or working in central Florida and are open to ALL investigators across the state. Central Florida Area meetings are normally held the last Tuesday of every month.

Drinks after the meeting: Feel free to stay, meet, mingle and network with other investigators immediately following the meeting. This venue has a dedicated room for us with overstuffed chairs and an excellent food and drink menu ..
