About our Speaker

Michael Lee Moorer is a retired American boxer who is one of only four men to win one or more versions of the world heavyweight championship on three separate occasions, as well as being a former world light-heavyweight champion,  He is one of only four men win world titles at both.  In 1994, Moorer beat Evander Holyfield on points and won the champion belts in the IBF and WBA.  

Moorer won the IBF title in a split points win over German Axel Shulz in 1996. Moorer defeated a number of good boxers in his career. Including Bert Cooper, James Smith, Frans Botha and Levi Billups. He had a outstanding career with 52 victories only 4 losses.

Michael Moorer is now a successful Private Investigator and has worked as a bodyguard for golf ace Tiger Woods.   He is a Motivational Speaker and author of his book: Twelve Rounds to Success: Boxing strategies for the business world.  

About the location:

The Marriott Courtyard has a lovely Bistro in the lobby, set up much like a Panera Bread Shop.  They sell starters, soups, salads, sandwiches burgers and more!  AND have a BAR with a HAPPY HOUR from 5:00PM – 7:00PM. You order at the counter then take your food to the seating selection of your choice.  We’ll all try and stay in one section, for the purpose of networking.  We are VERY LUCKY to have this place!!!.  They are giving us a conference room for free in exchange for the business we bring to the Bistro.  Although the meeting is free, you will be responsible for your own food and drinks.  Please, let’s show our appreciation and ALL plan to come and eat & drink before this very informative meeting!
