Topic: What Every Small Business Owner Needs To Know About Taxes

Jim will discuss tax deductions, employee vs. independent contractor, what deductions may raise red flags with the IRS, what to do should you get audited and any other topics you wish to discuss. By attending, you will learn of a revised and simpler deduction for small business owners – but you must attend to find out!

About the Speaker:

Jim Fischer earned his CPA license in 1989 and is certified in Florida and Georgia. In 1995, he started his own firm, Fischer & Associates Accounting, Inc., in Jacksonville. Jim has also earned his bachelor’s degree with a major in Accounting from Western Kentucky University and a Master Degree in Accounting with a concentration in tax from the University of North Florida.

FALI Northeast Florida Area meetings provide a great opportunity for investigators to network, hear relevant speakers and the opportunity to learn something new.  Meetings are held the second Monday of every month alternating locations between Jacksonville and St. Augustine. Please remember that FALI meetings are open to everyone, including spouses and guests (Members or Non-Members).

At previous meetings there have been "CC” licensed investigators in search of sponsors, so if you are an Agency owner needing to fill any positions, or needing to subcontract with other agencies, you are encouraged to attend.
