Mayanne Downs, Esq.

Topics: Investigations in support of family, commercial and injury cases.

Mayanne is the firmwide chair of GrayRobinson law office’s extensive litigation department and is a shareholder in the Orlando branch. An Orlando native, she has been part of the Central Florida business community for more than 35 years and has practiced law for 25 years. Her practice areas include commercial litigation and high-stakes domestic matters. Mayanne also has served as the city attorney of Orlando since 2007, overseeing 25 lawyers and providing counsel to the mayor and city commission.

Mayanne has handled a wide array of matters throughout her career, including personal-injury cases; shareholder and business disputes; noncompete litigation; and family and domestic matters involving high-net-worth and high-profile individuals. She managed one of the largest divorce settlements on record (more than $200 million).

Mayanne is the past president of The Florida Bar (2010-2011), of the Orange County Bar Association, of the Legal Aid Society of the Orange County Bar Association and the Central Florida Association for Women Lawyers. 

About the meeting: This is a FREE event is open to ALL members (or potential members) of the investigative professions.  The event is sponsored by the Florida Association of Licensed Investigators (FALI) as part of our continuing efforts to provide our membership with quality educational and networking opportunities. FALI meetings held in the Orlando area are made available for those investigators living or working in central Florida and are open to ALL investigators across the state.  Central Florida Area meetings are normally held the last Tuesday of every month at the Best Western Inn, 17-92 and Morse Blvd., Winter Park, FL.  If you are traveling and need overnight accommodations, the Best Western offers discounted rates.

Dinner before the meeting:  If you are interested in dining together around 5:00 p.m. at a venue somewhat near the meeting place, please contact me at ollie@averyprivateeye.com  Individuals would be responsible for the cost of their meal.

Drinks after the meeting: Feel free to stay, meet, mingle and network with other investigators immediately following the meeting by the poolside of the Best Western.
