This month's speaker will be

Tom Davis

Security Specialist, Special Agent FDLE (Retired)

Certified Criminal Assessment Profiler

Topic: Investigative Profiling and Statement Analysis

Tom served honorably during the Vietnam War in the United States Navy. He is a graduate of the University of Central Florida with a Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice. Tom has also provided training to both public and private organizations on workplace violence issues and dealing with difficult situations, and instructed in Florida Police Academies and colleges.

In 1990 the Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE) recruited Tom to join their group of then, elite Special Agents.  Tom spent many hours working cold case homicides, police involved shooting cases, and serial sexual batteries.  During his career, Tom worked diligently for months with dozens of other agents on the Danny Rollins, Gainesville student murders, among other high profile cases. He performed threat assessments for FDLE and became skilled at the art of interrogation using the SCAN method for interviewing and suspect evaluation.

Tom was then selected to become an FDLE Criminal Profiler through training from the FBI Behavioral Sciences Unit partnering with the International Criminal Investigative Analysis Fellowship. This three year intensive understudy and training program led Tom across the nation to train with the best Criminal Profilers in the business. After the attacks of 9-11, Tom served with the FBI Joint Terrorism Task Force (JTTF).
