About FALI Area 12
FALI Area 12 meetings provide a great opportunity for investigators to network, hear relevant speakers and the opportunity to learn something new. Meetings will be held the second Monday of every month alternating locations between Jacksonville and St. Augustine. Please remember that FALI meetings are open to everyone, including spouses and guests (Members or Non-Members).
Topic:
This will be an informal meeting to brainstorm ideas for meeting topics you would like to see for 2014! Along with that, there will be an open discussion of Agency Owners and Investigators covering subjects such as ethics, sub-contracting with other agencies, managing an agency, obtaining agency insurance, sponsorship of Interns, "C" Licensees seeking employment, "CC" licensees seeking Sponsors, unlawful recordings, best surveillance vehicles, current camera equipment in use, intrusion of seclusion, misprision of felony, divulging client information, and Employee Action Reports.
This Year’s Charity Find:
Mandarin Food Bank at St. Joseph’s Church
Having first-hand knowledge, the Mandarin Food Bank is severely understocked with non-perishable food items for this time of year. They desperately need help.
About Mandarin Food Bank:
Their mission is to provide emergency food and clothing to those in need in the Mandarin Community. They are a ministry run entirely by volunteers. Thanksgiving 2012, they served a total of 524 families totaling about 2300 people and at Christmas 2012, they were able to serve 351 families totaling about 1500 people. All thanks to donors and volunteers! They also serve families in need three days a week throughout the year.
Current Food Needs (as of 11/20/13):
Donations are down and demand is up! They are currently are in very short supply of the following:
- hot cereal
- soup
- canned fruit
- canned vegetables of all kinds
- canned beans
- spaghetti sauce
- hygiene items - soap, shampoo
They also accept clothing, toy (for the children on their birthday and at Christmas), and monetary donations. If you would like to make a monetary donation, please make the check payable to Mandarin Food Bank. All donations are tax deductible.
