About our Speaker:
Barbara Levenson has lived in Miami for over 37 years and during that time has spent a great deal of time in the criminal justice building in Miami,Florida in her own legal career. She began her career as a prosecutor, andlater parlayed her success into heading her own criminal defense lawfirm. After successfully running her own firm, Barbara was elected to serve as a judge in Miami-Dade County. She has recently retired as a senior judge.NOW. She spends her summers in Quechee, Vermont writing murder mysteries and breeding German Shepherds with her husband. On top of that, she has finished 11 of her dogs as champions in the show ring. Her love of writing and her German Shepherds have crossed over; in the Mary Magruder Katz mystery series, the Shepherd Sam, is actually based on a mischievous dog that lives with the Levensons. Her novels have been acclaimed as must reads by all lovers of murder mysteries, German Sheperds and South Florida.
