ABOUT OUR SPEAKER:   GEORGE LOUK a 28-year veteran in law enforcement is also a nationwide polygraph examiner and instructor.  Additionally, he is a detective with the Fort Lauderdale Police Department where he conducts criminal investigations and works in the Economic Crimes Unit.  He also conducts Polygraph Exams for State/Federal Law Enforcement Agencies. 

Detective Louk has received over 40 Public and Departmental Commendations and such awards as Broward County’s ‘Crime Stopper of the Year’ in 1997 and 1998, DEA Certificate of Appreciation for Outstanding Contributions in the Field of Drug Enforcement in 1999 and the American Association of Police Polygraphists Region 5 Director’s Award in 2009, just to name a few. He has degrees in both criminal justice, as well as criminology from Florida State University and Miami-Dade Community College. In 1999 he became an International Academy of Polygraph graduate. 

Detective Louk has conducted over 2500 polygraphs.  Currently a member of the Florida Polygraph Association, American Association of Police Polygraphists, American Polygraph Association, (among other organizations) he also teaches Polygraph Instrumentation at numerous polygraph schools across the United States and conducts many nationwide polygraph seminars.

ABOUT THE TOPIC:

Detective Louk will be discussing basic Kinesics (the study of body language,) interviewing tips and how the Fort Lauderdale PD and other government agencies use polygraph examinations in their investigations.  This will be an informative and engaging evening as he presents live charts (criminal/background/Internal Affairs/Civil - forfeiture cases) and videos to keep everyone entertained, then YOU can decide for yourself if this tool would be useful during the course of your investigations.

Members and non members and guests are all welcome to attend! Feel free to invite your interns, colleagues or other security/ investigative / recovery  professionals you may know such as process servers, Law Enforcement Officers, students and teachers of Criminal justice and Private Investigative Programs.  SPOUSES are welcomed too!!
