Meetings will be held the second Monday of every month alternating locations between Jacksonville and St. Augustine. Dr. Fee’s background is in private practice and some academic anesthesiology. She practiced at Jackson in Miami as well as Shands in Gainesville, and in the Jacksonville Beach area for several years. Her last practice was in a tropical setting in the Bougainvillea Clinic in the British Virgin Islands where she retired in 2011. Dr. Fee has practiced general and regional anesthesia as well as pain management for adults and children for over 20 years. Dr. Fee will discuss malingering and post-traumatic stress syndrome with the group in the context of investigative management. She will cover a little history, signs and symptoms, treatment and prognosis. She will also provide us with a few pointers so we can recognize malingerers better. Even for physicians, it can be very difficult to recognize and manage malingerers. If anyone has any specific questions or suggestions for Dr. Fee, please email them to me for forwarding to her prior to the meeting.
