How investigators conduct due diligence cases
An introduction into fraud investigation and anti-money laundering
Mr. Gallo grew up in the United Kingdom and, while starting his
professional career there practicing law, he served as an intelligence officer
in the British Army reserve. After receiving an MBA, he relocated to Hong
Kong for 19 years. Although having passed the bar there, he focused on
investigative work. He worked mostly on Pre-Investment Due Diligence (and
the consequences of not doing so). He also traced assets in fraud cases
and consulted in crisis management helping clients (deal with messes they could
have avoided had they done the work in the first place). After passing
the NY bar, a career change brought him to the US earlier this year. Mr.
Gallo is also certified in anti-money laundering compliance, held a CFE
certification and has an LLM (Masters of Law) in International Criminal Law
from Italy. He has had numerous articles published and was frequently
invited to speak at conferences and training seminars throughout the
Asia/Pacific region, as well as lecturing on investigative subjects at
University.

About the meeting: This is a FREE event is
open to ALL members (or potential members) of the investigative
professions. The event is sponsored by the Florida Association of
Licensed Investigators (FALI) as part of our continuing efforts to provide our
membership with quality educational opportunities. FALI meetings held in
the Orlando area are made available for those investigators living or working
in central Florida and are open to ALL investigators across the state.
Central Florida Area meetings are normally held the last Tuesday of every
month at the Best Western Inn, 17-92 and Morse Blvd., Winter Park, FL. If
you are traveling and need overnight accommodations, the Best Western offers
discounted rates.
Before the meeting: Several members will be
gathering for dinner at 5:00 p.m. at El Potro Mexican Restaurant, 501 North
Orlando Avenue, #217, Winter Park, FL 32789 (In the K-mart shopping
center). Individuals are responsible for the cost of their meal.
After the meeting: Feel free to stay, meet, mingle
and network with other investigators immediately following the meeting by the newly
refurbished poolside of the Best Western.
