SPEAKER:
Jeff Scharlatt of The Celeres Group and City
College of Fort Lauderdale
Retired
Federal Agent (DEA), Jeff spent 17 years as a Special Agent and Supervisory
Special Agent. Additionally, he was a
Supervisor in DEA Internal Security. While
with the DEA, he worked in the following locations: New York, Philadelphia,
Miami, Colombia, Bolivia, Vietnam, Thailand, Hong Kong and the Philippines. He
also spent 4 years with other U.S. Government Agencies as a Criminal
Investigator working in and out of the U.S. After
retiring from the DEA he worked for 4 years as an in-house investigator for
several law firms specializing in legal defense work.
As a Private Investigator, he now manages City Investigations, Inc in
Fort Lauderdale as well as the Celeres Group, Inc. in Coral Springs,
specializing in "cold case files. When
Jeff is not conducting cold case investigations, he is teaching the Private
investigative Associates Degree program at City College of Fort Lauderdale,
where he has been for nine years, 6 of which have been as their PI Program
Department Chair.
TOPIC:
"Working cold cases as a Private Investigator".
Jeff
will share one of his cold case files that he investigated for the Celeres
Group. The case was 14 years old when he started working it and spent two years
investigating it. They are currently
presenting their findings and conclusions to the law enforcement agency that
initially investigated the case.

Although this
is a FREE event sponsored by FALI,
we welcome ALL licensed investigators (members and non members alike) in
Florida, or any investigators who may be visiting South Florida as we believe
networking is important for everyone in our profession.
We also welcome SECURITY PROFESSIONALS, PROCESS SERVERS
& STUDENTS IN CRIMINAL JUSTICE PROGRAMS, SPOUSES and INTERNS.
