On February 18, 2020 FALI convened the first meeting of what was soon going to be named FALI’s “Child Sex Trafficking Task Force.” A group of members volunteered to work on the various aspects of the Task Force which included: Intake, Intelligence and Field Operations. With the events of 2020, and the aftermath, the Task Force was on hold but now we are ready to relaunch and we need member assistance! We invite FALI members to join us for this meeting to find out how you can get involved. Click HERE to visit the CST portion of the FALI website.
Basic criteria for FALI to take on a case:
- Cases that involve minors (less than 18 years of age).
- Minors that are at risk for involvement in possible drug trafficking, prostitution, pornography, or illegal labor.
- Cases that originate in Florida or there is evidence of the minor being physically present in Florida.
- Parents, legal guardians, or law enforcement must be the ones requesting FALI involvement.
- Parent/guardian must be willing to sign an Investigative Services Agreement (no charge).
- Report filed with law enforcement.
Basic criteria for FALI members to participate in the Task Force:
- Active, Associate or Life Member of FALI (Affiliate and Student members can get involved in other ways)
- Valid Florida C or CC License.
- Member must work under a Florida Licensed Agency (A License).
- Agency entity must have private investigation agency general liability insurance.
- Agency execution of retainer contract with client prior to working on a case.
- Upon request of client, agency agrees to report/share case findings with local, state or federal law enforcement.
