Our speaker's this month are Jo-Anne Yau from the Yau Law Firm and Sam Rodriguez, current Law Enforcement Officer with JSO.

The topic for this meeting is Executive Protection and the Contracts that you need to cover you and your agency while performing such duties. Mr. Rodriguez will cover the physical aspects while Ms. Yau will cover the legal aspects.

Jo-Anne Yau is an attorney at the Yau Law firm. Her areas of practice include Personal Injury, Patents, Trademarks, Franchising, Business Law, Criminal Defense, and Sports & Entertainment Law. She has represented businesses, athletes, and celebrities across the United States, and inventors, artists, and musicians from around the world. Ms. Yau’s experience includes litigation of various legal disputes in Florida. She is also a Magistrate, presiding over the Civil Traffic division of the State of Florida’s Fourth Judicial Circuit, which includes Duval, Clay, and Nassau counties.

Sam Rodriguez resides in Jacksonville, FL and has been employed by JSO for the past 20 years. Sam currently instructs 6 to 7 classes a month for JSO and has been teaching self defense classes since 1985 after beginning his law enforcement career in the South Bronx of New York in 1984.
