ABOUT THE MEETING: This is a FREE event and open to ALL members (or potential members) of the investigative and security professions. The event is sponsored by the Florida Association of Licensed Investigators (FALI) as part of our continuing efforts to provide our membership with quality educational opportunities. FALI meetings are made available for those investigators living or working in South Florida and are open to ALL investigators across the state.  There will be networking before & after the meeting.  Spouses are welcome to attend as well!

ABOUT OUR SPEAKER:

With over 20 years in combined legal and media production experience Patrick Levy established Category 3 Legal Media in 1999 in Miami, designing multimedia solutions for such clients as UPS, Sony, Burger King, American Airlines Arena, to name a few.   A former trial attorney, he eventually returned to his roots, focusing his company on producing multimedia for trial and litigation support.  

Mr. Levy is a graduate of the University of Kansas and Washington University in St. Louis School of Law, where he received awards for excellence in the law of evidence and trial practice and procedure. His legal career spanned both government and private practice; from the United States House of Representatives, to the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office, and then with the Law Office of Jerry Levy, P.A., in Lawrence, Kansas, where he prosecuted a diverse of portfolio of civil, criminal and administrative matters, including arguing a case before the U.S. 10th Circuit Court of Appeals. "While I wouldn't call myself the most grizzled of trial veterans, I know the knee-knocking fear of that first appearance in front of a jury, as well as the soaring sense of accomplishment from winning with a well-prepared and presented case”, he says. 

Mr. Levy and his wife are active in the arts community in Miami and Coconut Grove, where they live with their two dogs. He is an avid sailor, photographer, and also a certified Rescue Diver -and helps teach dive safety and underwater videography to divers in South Florida.

7:20 – 8:00 (or later) Guest Speaker (45 min – 1 hour) followed by Q & A

Please stick around after the meeting if you have time, to get to know one another in the lobby lounge.

SPECIAL NOTE:

You are responsible for your own meal and drinks. 

Because the Holiday Inn is being kind enough to GIVE us a conference room FREE OF CHARGE, we all MUST order something from the restaurant or bar, even if it is just a soda or a coffee and dessert.  So, please come and eat, drink and socialize at your own pace, however, we kindly ask that you just be sure you are finished by 6:45 so that we can adjourn to the conference room!
