7:30 PM Meeting will begin Our guest speaker will be Mr. Harold "Rus” Ruslander.

Harold W. "Rus” Ruslander spent the first 23 years of his career as a Prince George’s County, Maryland Police Officer.  After retiring, he moved to south Florida where he became a civilian crime scene investigator first for the City of Lake Worth and then for the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office. He is now the Chief Investigator for the Palm Beach County, Florida Medical Examiner’s Office.

Mr. Ruslander’s’ accomplishments include being certified by the IAI as a Senior Crime Scene Analyst, a Certified Bloodstain Pattern Examiner and a Certified Latent Print Examiner as well as by ABMDI as a Registered Medicolegal Death Investigator and E.P.I.C. as a Certified Evidence Photographer. He is also a member of the IAI Board of Directors.

Mr. Ruslander has taught forensics at the Palm Beach Community College as an adjunct instructor and has designed seven different forty-hour classes. The Florida Department of Law Enforcement also certifies him as a law enforcement instructor.

Mr. Ruslander has written over 20 forensic articles, which have been published in a number of forensic publications and various sites on the worldwide web. Mr. Ruslander has also made presentations and taught courses for the IAI annual training conference, the FDIAI Annual Training Conference, The East Coast Armed Robbery Association, The Taylor Group, The Gold Coast Forensic Association, the Florida Chaplains Association and the Florida Fire Marshals Association, to name a few. 

He will discuss the following topic: The Role of the Medical Examiner in Death Investigations.

The area 10 meetings are returning! It’s time to network with other professionals in your area!  As always, everyone is invited!  Bring your wives, your husbands, your interns or other investigators you may know or anyone that would like to attend! Even though this is a FALI meeting, both members and NON members are always welcome to attend our meetings!

Here is the deal:  This is a DINNER meeting.  Everyone will choose off of the menu what they want and will pay for their meal on their own. The same applies to bar purchases. 

WE HAVE TO HAVE A HEAD COUNT so PLEASE RSVP with a one word "Yes” or "No” so we get a room that will hold all of us!

Dinner will be served in our own private dining room from 6:00 to 7:30. 

YOU WILL PAY FOR YOUR OWN BILL FOR DINNER AND BAR DRINKS.
