Note from Area Director Matt Aubin:
My
name is Matt Aubin and I am the Tampa Area Director. I have served in
multiple positions as an Officer and Director on the FALI Board since
2016 and am excited to continue to serve as the Tampa Area Director for
this coming year. I have been in the investigation industry since 2009
and I am currently the managing partner at Southern Recon Agency and I
work as a Cyber Investigation and TSCM specialist.
We
wrapped up our annual conference in Cocoa Beach in June with a power
house lineup of speakers and some amazing networking opportunities. It
was great finally getting back in person and we are excited to launch
another statewide in person event in September for the FALI-U and FALI
Boot Camp!
Our
Tampa meetings are extremely unique, productive and informative thanks
to a lot of helpful contributions from the diversity of the members and
guests in our area. We’re going to be featuring our local talent a lot
with Round Table Discussions, Master Mind events and a lot of group
collaboration at our meetings.
I
am thrilled to announce that we will be returning to in person meetings
in August. Our previous location, Mitchell's, closed during the
pandemic. We are vetting out a few potential locations and for this
first meeting we will be in Land O Lakes at a location found by Dave
Keck. **If anyone has any suggestions for a great place to meet in the
Greater Tampa area, please contact myself or Amy O’Rourke and we will be
happy to discuss the option with you in detail. We can rotate the
location between meetings or stay in the same one but at least we have a
place to start.
FALI
has approximately 150 members in the Greater Tampa Area and the in
person meetings are one of the best and most effective networking tools
available in this profession. We also have a great time discussing
cases, equipment, business plans, etc., while networking and getting to
know your colleagues.

5:30PM This is a Dinner meeting in our reserved meeting room
(Everyone is responsible for their own dinner bill)
6:30PM Meeting begins after dinner and networking
PI Mastermind Session
This will be an interactive meeting lead by several of our most
experienced investigators to bring up and discuss ideas, strategies,
tactics and share their experience with the group on relevant issues in
the Professional Investigation Industry.
8:00pm After meeting networking in the lounge.
For
those attending there will be other investigators and agencies on hand
as early as 5:00PM for early networking. Credit for CEUs for the Florida
Board Certified Investigators (FBCI) will be issued for this meeting.
We have in attendance as private investigators former and retired
investigative reporters, law firm in-house investigators, attorney,
insurance and adjuster field, medical field, Certified Public
Accountants, Computer Forensics, Polygraph, military, federal agents,
state and local law enforcement, and all aspects of the business world.
Spouses
of investigators are welcome. Please feel free to invite a guest
(Member or Non-Member). Please forward this notice to other
investigators. You do not have to be a member to attend. this is a
networking and industry related educational meeting. Call if you need
further information.
This
is a Dinner meeting and we will be ordering from the restaurant menu.
All attendees are responsible for payment for their own meals and
beverages. It is very difficult to find a FREE meeting room such as the
one Mulligan's is allowing us to use. Please show your appreciation by
enjoying the restaurant’s fare.
