About the Speaker: 
Mark J. Murnan is a Certified Legal Investigator (CLI) and a Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE). Mark served in the United States Air Force, where he attended the Defense Language Institute at the Presidio of Monterey. He was subsequently assigned to the Air Force Security Service (now the Electronic Security Command) to an airborne unit at Kadena Air Base, Okinawa, Japan, and to Offutt Air Force Base, Omaha, Nebraska. He received his Bachelor degree in criminal justice at the University of Nebraska at Omaha.

Mark is a former staff investigator for the Federal Public Defender, Southern District of Florida. He has over 35 years of investigative experience and has assisted counsel in cases of securities and wire fraud, money laundering, drug trafficking, murder, sexual battery, and gang-related crimes. He is a past president of FALI, and a former Regional Director for the southeast United States for the National Association of Legal Investigators (NALI).
