We Need Your Help to Get it to the Finish Line!

This is a great day for FALI and the Private Investigative profession. Today, May 5, 2023, is the final day of the 2023 Florida Legislative Session.

Apologies for the lack of updates over the past few weeks. The Legislative process, especially towards the end of Session, has many moving parts and things are constantly changing.

Thanks to the hard work of our sponsors and our lobbyists, our stand alone bills for both the House and Senate made it into each Chamber's tax package. This was an amazing accomplishment. Along the way those legislators who sponsored in the past kept echoing their support.

We are absolutely ecstatic to report that earlier this morning the Tax Package passed out of the Senate and just moments ago it passed out of the House. Now it goes to the Governor who will sign it within 15 days. We need your help to encourage him to do so. Please take a moment to follow the instructions below and create a letter we can send to the Governor showing support from the profession.

Instructions for Letter to Governor:

2. Copy the letter onto your letterhead.
3. Update any of the information that pertains to you and your agency.
4. If you have a story to share that would help the cause, feel free to add it in the space provided. Otherwise please delete that section.
5. Return to admin@fali.org as a PDF document as soon as possible and not later than Monday, May 8th.
