Dear Members,
I have
had numerous emails, calls, texts about the upcoming FALI-U and FALI
Boot Camp. We are closely watching the storm and have been in contact
with the hotel, our speakers and or sponsor for the event. We are
waiting for the hotel and their decision on cancelling the event. We
have contractual requirements with the hotel that we must adhere to in
order to get a credit for the expenses we have already paid for and an
opportunity to reschedule the event at our contracted rate. We expect an
answer from the Hotel by the latest Monday morning.
With that
being said, we are watching all of Florida as our members are traveling
from all over the State to Tampa to attend. The current weather models
show this storm getting stronger to Hurricane strength. It is a serious
storm to keep watch on. I have lived in Florida 52 years and endured
several Hurricanes, (Wilma, David, Andrew, Irma, to name a few) some
look and actually hit where the newscasters say, sometimes they are off.
This storm could just turn more to the north and west and miss Florida
completely.
We are at
the mercy of the Hotel and their decision of whether they cancel our
event or not. If it is cancelled we are hoping to re-schedule to October
or November, again we have to coordinate with the hotel, our speakers
and sponsor. I can assure you this, the moment we hear that it is
cancelled we will immediately let you know. We appreciate your patience.
I know everyone was looking forward to this event and we have a good
amount of people who have registered. I for one was really looking
forward to this event. Previous FALI-U and FALI Bootcamps have always
been super events.
So in the
meantime prepare for the worst and hope and pray for the best. We will
make an announcement just as soon as the hotel lets us know.
