2:00pm - 2:15pm Opening remarks, FALI announcements, Session 1: 2:15pm - 5:15pm Private Client Business Development For Investigative Agencies Building a client base of high net worth & high margin case pipeline. Dave Pelligrinelli
In this 3-hour course, we will provide specific directions on building a large portfolio of profitable customers. We will describe the process of identifying business segments, detailed marketing processes, and how to have the sales conversations with the key players in these types of firms. The objective of the course is to build a case list with larger total billables, to clients who are focused on the excellence of the results, not lowest bidder pricing. Start evolving from chasing low level background check cases, process service, database lookups, and records searches. Hundreds of clients are looking for large scale intelligence reports, which are extremely profitable. About the speaker: David Pelligrinelli is the founder and president of Active Intel. He has been a licensed private investigator since 2010. The company specializes in the practice areas of cyber security, asset tracing, records analysis, and digital forensics. He is a certified civil court mediator, a licensed surety bond agent, certified real estate title examiner, and licensed building general contractor. He is active as a board member in several professional organizations in legal related fields, and has been featured in Forbes, the Wall Street Journal, Robb Report, and presented seminars for the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners (ACFE). He is a strong proponent of furthering the visibility of professional services to a larger market, so that more consumers and businesses can benefit from the professional services of licensed investigators, mediators, and expert resources Session 2: 5:15pm – 6:30pm An "Updated" Crash Course in Using the Correct Contracts & Business Practices Mark Aubin
As
FALI members “should” know there is a valuable resource for members in
the form of business contracts that were written by Mark Aubin who also
happens to be an attorney. Every few years, Mark presents a session such
as this with updates during which he shares the essential and critical
pointers of what makes a successful business contract. These include: a
30-day expiration of services, client no-interference clauses,
initialing each and every contract page, reading the contract to the
client in its entirety, and much more. Many of the contracts Mark will
discuss are already on the FALI website for member use, but come in
person so you can ask questions and learn their proper use. About the speaker:
Mark Aubin is a licensed investigator, attorney and City of
Tampa Code Enforcement Appeals Special Magistrate. In addition to his
extensive investigation background, he has been practicing law since
1999 and serves as FALI’s Vice President and general legal advisor. A
licensed investigator since 2006, he is one of less than 40 of the more
than 7,000 licensed investigators in the state who have been awarded
Florida Board Certified Investigator (FBCI) status. Mark is also a
charter member of the FALI Child Sex Trafficking Task Force and has
spoken on the scourge of Human Trafficking to various associations. Mark
has extensive experience in family and criminal law, contracts,
bankruptcy, nondisclosure, noncompete agreements and all aspects of
general civil law. He also formerly served as a Contract Family General
Magistrate and Child Support Hearing officer for the 6th Judicial
Circuit. 6:30pm - ? Networking in Cafe Breeze After the meeting join us in the hotel bar area where we can continue to network
