Annual Renewal

Annual Renewal to Maintain FBCI Status

To maintain the FBCI designation, members must submit an annual renewal of $100 by January 31st of every calendar year, and twenty-four (24) hours of continuing education training every two (2) years. It is recommended that training fall among these four major continuing education categories:

Professional Conduct and Ethics
Statutory Compliance
Investigative Legal Issues
Investigative Techniques

It is important to keep the cost of satisfying the requirements to a minimum. In addition to various FALI events, such as the annual Conference, monthly meetings, FALI-U, FALI Boot Camp and FALI-U Lite, the FBCI program recognizes the CEU credits of many other certifying entities. FALI Events will indicate the number of CEUs that can be earned. For organizations outside of FALI, please send an email to, including the details, so the FBCI committee can determine in advance if the event will qualify. CEUs can be submitted through your profile on the FALI website as they are earned.

To remain a FBCI in good standing annual renewal fees
must be submitted by January 31st every year.

Note: The  FBCI designation is NOT a membership that is automatically renewed with the payment of a fee. Compliance review is an ongoing process and requires evaluation and approval of all training documentation submitted annually to be compliant under the terms required.
