Topics: Legislative Update Regarding GPS & Drones
Retainer Agreements
For those who don’t know him, Mark Aubin is a local practicing attorney, a private investigator, and a
FALI member. Now that the GPS and drone legislation has passed and been signed into law, Mark has
agreed to update us all on the final version of the statue.
Mark will also talk about the need for a retainer agreement and a proper retainer agreement. He has
agreed to provide those in attendance with a sample agreement.
About our Speaker
Mark Aubin has been practicing law for 17 years and serves as General Legal Counsel for FALI. He and has extensive experience in contracts, sub contractor, confidentiality and non-compete agreements. All of which are critical to the effective and profitable operation of any Agency. He has also served a Family General Magistrate and Child Support Hearing officer and currently is a volunteer City of Tampa Hearing Master for parking citation and red light camera violation appeal hearings. In addition to his law practice, he has been a licensed investigator for 10 years and owns Top Gun Investigations in Tampa.

For those attending there will be other investigators and agencies on hand as early as 5:00PM for early networking. Credit for CEUs for the Florida Certified Investigators (FCI) will be issued for this meeting. Terry Roffler, FCI, will be available at the meeting to discuss how to become a Florida Certified Investigator (FCI) and the program.
We have in attendance as private investigators former and retired investigative reporters, law firm in-house investigators, attorney, insurance and adjuster field, medical field, Certified Public Accountants, Computer Forensics, Polygraph, military, federal agents, state and local law enforcement, and all aspects of the business world.
Spouses of investigators are welcome. Please feel free to invite a guest (Member or Non-Member). Please forward this notice to other investigators. You do not have to be a member to attend. this is a networking and industry related educational meeting. Call if you need further information.
This is a Dinner meeting and we will be ordering from the TGI Friday’s Menu. All attendees are responsible for payment for their own meals and beverages. TGI Friday’s as a courtesy has provided us a reserved private meeting room for the purpose of a Dinner business type meeting. Show your appreciation by enjoying the restaurant’s fare.
