 Greetings to our Orlando Area FALI Members,

I want to extend my gratitude to everyone who participated in the successful training meeting on Monday, July 15th.

We had a fantastic turnout not only from Orlando but also from members across the state, including South Florida, Jacksonville, and Tampa. For those who attended, I have sent out the training PowerPoint.

Our next Orlando Area meeting will be held in person on August 7th at Duffy’s in Altamonte Springs. Please remember to RSVP. We will also be having a raffle, so don't forget to bring a business card. I'm thrilled to announce that our guest speaker will be Tim O’Rourke, and I’m hoping we can set an attendance record.

Privacy - The Evolution of TSCM and Spying
Alexa-Google-Siri-The Cloud. These are just a few of the outside sources we have invited into our lives to supposedly make things easier. Do a web search for “hidden cameras” and you will find upwards of 20,000 products. We joke that “they are listening” but is it really a joke? In this presentation we will discuss the origins and evolution of spying and the various forms it has taken over the years. We will explore why governments, businesses and people in general spy on each other. We will touch on several case studies that are infamous and/or rarely discussed outside of various circles that have resulted in legal awards in the billions. We will identify both US and Florida laws that apply to video voyeurism, personal and electronic communications security laws. This is important information in both our personal and professional lives.
