Big Data and Open Source Intelligence


Dr. Keith Ludwick, Ph.D.

Dive into the world of Big Data and Open Source Intelligence in this engaging masterclass led by Dr. Keith Ludwick. Designed to teach how Big Data relates to OSINT, what it is, what it isn't, and demystifies the ability to obtain and evaluate Big Data, showcasing its use in private investigation, addressing legal and ethical considerations, and introducing critical tools for data analysis. Discover how to extract valuable insights from vast datasets to enhance investigative work.

Instructor Bio:
Dr. Keith Ludwick is a former FBI Special Agent with over 22 years of service, and the President of The Ludwick Agency LLC. With a distinguished career spanning counterintelligence, covert operations, and the creation of the Tampa Division's Social Media Analytical Cell he brings a wealth of real-world experience. He is not only a seasoned investigator but also an accomplished academic, holding advanced degrees in Computer Science, Strategic Studies, Cybersecurity, and Biodefense. His teaching credentials are equally impressive, with multiple awards recognizing his contributions to intelligence, technology, and cybersecurity education.

Securing Investigations with Integrated Intelligence.


Jeffrey Sanow

This presentation will unveil many aspects from the intelligence community that we have all heard whispers of; Moscow rules, undercover operatives, tradecraft etc. Jeff Sanow is going to share his insights based on his extensive 24 year career as a senior intelligence officer with the CIA, and how to integrate human intelligence into modern private Investigations.

Instructor Bio:
Jeffrey Sanow's
35-year career working on complex global security operations included working for the US Government, the United States Military, and the private security and consulting industry. Most notably, he had a distinguished career with the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) retiring as a Senior Intelligence Officer (SIS-1). Jeff served as Chief of Station, supervising operations against weapons of mass destruction. He also deployed to Pakistan to direct training, security and intelligence efforts for the construction of the billion dollar US Embassy compound in Islamabad. As a defense contractor, he served as an advisor to active duty US Army intelligence units during their pre-combat deployment readiness training. He also worked closely with US Special Operations Forces (SOF) as an instructor, teaching tradecraft to active duty SOF units deploying to combat theaters of operation in Iraq and Afghanistan. Jeff also has extensive experience as an independent global security operations consultants, to include serving as general manager of the third largest security company in Uganda. Stateside, he established his own private investigations company with an emphasis on insurance claims, risk consulting and executive protection.

This session is designed specifically for private investigators looking to elevate their agency's visibility and client base through strategic marketing. This one-of-a-kind program is delivered by a select group of instructors, each a seasoned private investigator with a proven track record in successfully marketing and expanding their own agencies. Over the course of this program, participants will dive deep into the marketing tactics that have led to real-world success within the private investigation industry. From leveraging traditional marketing avenues to embracing digital platforms, each instructor will share their unique strategies, insights, and the lessons learned from their successes and failures.

 

Topic One: Cutting Through the NOISE

Over the past 30 years we have seen a lot of challenges and changes in the methods of getting clients to look at you and your business. It has gone from a sales staff visiting the client in-person or calling them on the phone, to direct marketing and ads in print and now digital and social media. In this presentation we will discuss what has worked then and now and why some things work and others are little more than a money pit. We will also cover how clients differ from each other, and focusing on who they are and how they can find you.

 

Instructor Bio:
Tim O’Rourke, CPS,FBCI
is a seasoned entrepreneur who has been operating in the investigative and protective space since the 1980’s.  Since 1990 he has been self employed and worked on several business units within the space.  What many people do not know is many of those businesses he created or co-founded, he was a large part of communications and setting the vision, designing, branding and marketing the firms.
