Investigative Reporters & Editors (IRE)
Prior to becoming a licensed private investigator in August 2010, I spent 17 years as a newspaper reporter working at major metropolitan daily newspapers in four states (Alabama, Arizona, Nebraska and Florida). The majority of that time was spent writing and researching complex investigative projects on a variety of issues involving government officials, government agencies, nonprofit organizations, churches and law enforcement. In May 2009, I became the chief investigator for the law firm of Cohen, Foster & Romine, P.A., in Tampa, and was responsible for handling all investigative needs related to criminal defense, civil, medical malpractice and qui tam/false claims cases. In July 2010, I joined the James Hoyer law firm in Tampa as a staff investigator, handling class action and qui tam/false claims investigations. In addition, I assist with criminal defense and civil investigations for Kalwary Investigations and Consulting.
